summer's gleam
to dream is but a way to see
the things i wish, that could have been
a far-off place - reality -
where i could lay in grass as green
as winded summer days.
in rolling waves the fields still sigh
as sunlight bathes the yellow world,
with bright blue, blinding, happy skies,
a warmth now tendered by the curls
of clouds' soft tendril gaze.
closing my eyes i long to dream
for this new life 'neath summer's gleam.
the things i wish, that could have been
a far-off place - reality -
where i could lay in grass as green
as winded summer days.
in rolling waves the fields still sigh
as sunlight bathes the yellow world,
with bright blue, blinding, happy skies,
a warmth now tendered by the curls
of clouds' soft tendril gaze.
closing my eyes i long to dream
for this new life 'neath summer's gleam.
Another great Poem.
