i love to see the temple

This past weekend David and I went to the Ogden Temple Open House . . . twice. Both of our families wanted to go, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the renovated temple again. Although we couldn't take pictures of the interior (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has posted pictures online, available here), it was beautiful. Despite the hustle and bustle of the open house, there was such a feeling of peace and reverence inside.
As a side note, this is also the temple my parents were married in (although they were married in the original structure).
It was neat to go at night and in the morning (if you can't tell, it was rather bright the second time around). But the effect of the different amount of light was beautiful, especially in the rooms with stained glass windows.
Yay for temples and yay for family! If you haven't gone yet, I suggest that you do. Even if you aren't LDS, you can still attend the open house. If anything else, it is a neat opportunity to see what temples are all about.

(Tickets for the open house available online (although I'm sure if you showed up, they wouldn't turn you away.))
