One last rant:

It's a Party! And YOU are invited!
Who: Anyone and Everyone who can't sleep before 2 am.
What: Let's make noise! And lots of it!
When: As soon as Jessica crawls into bed!
Where: Jessica's Room of course (actually, gathered around my bed more specifically, but who's really that specific?).
Why: Because!!!!
Activities include: Watching music videos! Showing me ALL of the texts your ex-almost-boyfriend sent you! Telling me all about that strange breed of humankind called boys! Gossip! More Gossip!
Oh, and if Jessica says something about needing to sleep, she's only joking (no one sleeps in college, and she is no exception!).

    Jessica,

    Some motherly advice whether wanted or not:

    When sleep is involved it's ok to be a "party-pooper". Have they ever realized that there is a commons area in the apartment called the kitchen where they can socialize all night? I am behind you 100% if you want to politely tell them you only listen until a certain time and then they are more than welcome to continue their gossip in the kitchen or someone else's bedroom without you.

    You really need to get some sleep so I hope you can find a way soon.

    Are you sure you don't want me to bring some earplugs? They may get the hint when you put those in that you are done listening for the night.

A bunch of people have asked me about Sam's birth. So here are more details (and pictures) than anyone ever wanted. Enjoy! (Also, I wrote this a few weeks ago. convos with a prego lady

Truth: pregnancy has made me rather cynical. I try to keep it hidden most of the time (and usually David is the one who bears the brunt of my pent-up sass. He is a champion). I'm not sure why cynicism is a current symptom I am experiencing. It may be due to the fact that I recently read a quote that opened my eyes to all of the nonsensical things people say to fill up space. Here it is, for your own personal enjoyment: "Yesterday at church, a lady took me aside with the express purpose to tell me, 'Don't feel bad. When God closes a door, he opens a window.'"
